August 2022 Meeting
Our meeting on Tuesday 9th August will be a social meeting at the Knot and Plough, Weston Road, Stafford ST18 0WL. We will meet at 7pm and either have a meal or just a drink. If you haven’t been to a Butterflies meeting before and would like to join us, please ring Alison on 01785 660193.
September 2022 Meeting
Our meeting on Monday 5th September will take place at the Constitutional Club in Lloyd Street, Stafford. The speaker is yet to be confirmed.
October 2022 Meeting
Our meeting on Monday 3rd October will take place at the Constitutional Club. The speaker will be Diane Leopard, who will show a collection of her photographs and poetry to illustrate her cancer journey.
November 2022 Meeting
Our meeting on Monday 7th November will take place at the Constitutional Club. The speaker will be Jo Coombs on Reflexology.
December 2022 Meeting
Our December meeting will take place on Monday 5th December. We will meet for a social evening at the Knot and Plough.
January 2023 Meeting
Our January 2023 meeting is yet to be confirmed.
February 2023 Meeting
Our February 2023 meeting will take place on Monday 6th February and the speaker will be Laura Hawkins who will be talking about Hypno Oncology.
March 2023 Meeting
Our March 2023 meeting will take place on Monday 6th March at the Constitutional Club and the speaker will be Mr Soni Soumian, Consultant at the Royal Stoke Hospital. Unfortunately this evening had to be cancelled. We hope that we will be able to rearrange it soon.
April 2023 Meeting
Our April 2023 meeting will take place on Tuesday 18th April at the Constitutional Club. We will be visited by Debbie Kinsella who will introduce us to Tai Chi.
May 2023 Meeting
Our May 2023 meeting will take place on Tuesday 16th May at the Constitutional Club. The speaker will be Keith Forrest who will be talking about Reiki.
June 2023 Meeting
Our June 2023 meeting will take place on Tuesday 20th June at the Constitutional Club. The speaker will be Andrea Hulse, who will be talking about yoga, pilates and meditation.
July 2023 Meeting
Our July 2023 meeting will take place on Tuesday 18th July at the Constitutional Club. This will be an evening on meditation and breathwork with Alice.
August 2023 Meeting
Our August 2023 meeting will be a social meeting at a different venue to be confirmed.
September 2023 Meeting
Our September meeting will take place on the 18th September at the Constitutional Club, when the speaker will be Mr Soni Soumian, Consultant Breast Surgeon from the Royal Stoke Hospital.
October 2023 Meeting
Our October meeting will take place on Monday 16th October at the Constitutional Club, when the speaker will be Jackie Bandha on Homeopathy.
November 2023 Meeting
Our November meeting will take place at the Tixall Village Hall on Tuesday November 21st at 7pm. Diana Smith will be talking about healthy eating and demonstrating healthy cookery. Please feel free to bring friends and family.
December 2023 Meeting
For our December meeting we are planning to have a Christmas Quiz with refreshments of fish and chips or pie and chips, which must be ordered in advance. This meeting will take place on Monday 11th December.
January 2024 Meeting
Our January meeting is yet to be confirmed.
February 2024 Meeting
Our February meeting is yet to be confirmed.
March 2024 Meeting
Our March meeting on Monday 18th March will be another Watercolour evening with Chloe from Little Robin Art. Places are limited and must be booked in advance
April 2024 Meeting
Our April meeting (on Monday 15th April) will be a craft evening, making small needlefelted animals. This should be a relaxing evening where we can chat while we create!
May 2024 Meeting
Our May meeting will take place at a different venue – Pretty Pots in Milford – on Tuesday 28th May from 6 until 8. Anyone who would like to come will need to pay a £5 deposit in advance, then pay for the pottery item that they choose to make on the day. June 2024 Meeting
Our June meeting will take place at the Constitutional Club on Monday 17th June, when Jake from Whole Life Health will be coming to speak to us. He will also try to teach us to juggle, which I understand is a great skill to learn for the body and mind!
July 2024 Meeting
Our July meeting will take place at the Constitutional Club on Monday 15th July, when we will have a talk on recycling by Cate from the Tranquility Recycling Centre in Stafford.
August 2024 Meeting
Our August meeting will be a social meeting for a meal at the Wolseley Arms on August 21st. Please let me know on 01785 660193 if you would like to join us as we will need to book in advance.
September 2024 Meeting
Our September meeting will be on Monday 16th September at the Constitutional Club. This will be a craft evening, when there will be the opportunity to learn to crochet.
October 2024 Meeting
Our October meeting at the Constitutional Club on 21st October will be a Sound Bath evening. Please bring a comfortable mat to lie on on the floor. This should be a very relaxing evening and a chance to have a taster of a Sound Bath.
Butterflies Stand in ASDA 12th October
ASDA in the centre of Stafford have allowed us to have a Butterflies stand again during Tickled Pink Week on Saturday 12th October. If you are able to help on this stand, please let me know. If not, please come and say ‘hello’ between 10am and 2pm.
November 2024 Meeting
Our November meeting at the Constitutional Club will be a special Fused Glass evening, where Paula from Forsbrook Studios, will be helping us to create items with glass, which she will then take away to ‘fuse’ and then return to us. Please let me know in advance if you would like to take part in this evening. The items will cost between approximately £10 and £30 and will need to be paid for on the night. UNFORTUNATELY THIS EVENING HAD TO BE POSTPONED ON THE NIGHT DUE TO SNOW! It will be rearranged in the new year.
December 2024 Meeting
Our December meeting will be a Christmas meal at Stafford College on 3rd December. We will need to book in advance, so if you would like to attend, please let me know on 01785 660193 by the end of October.
December 2024 Get Together for Coffee
We will be meeting at the Swan in Stafford at 2pm for coffee and a chat. All welcome if you would like to join us!
January 2025 Meeting
Our January meeting will take place at the Constitutional Club on Monday 20th January. This will be an informal meeting to catch up, plan future meetings and have a chat.
February 2025 Meeting
Our February meeting will take place at the Constitutional Club on Monday 17th February. This will be an evening of mindfulness and breathwork wtih Alice Dowling.
March 2025 Meeting
Our March meeting will take place on Monday 17th March. Chloe O’Neil will be returning to Butterflies to lead another Watercolour Evening, where we will be painting sunsets.
April 2025 Meeting
Our April meeting will take place on Tuesday 1st April, when we will be going out to the Swan in Stafford for a meal.
May 2025 Meeting
Our May meeting will take place at the Constitutional Club on Monday 19th May when Jane from Nicola Jane Bras will be the speaker. Nicola Jane is the leading mastectomy and post surgery bra and swimwear specialists in the UK.
June 2025 Meeting
Our June meeting will take place Tixall Village Hall at 7pm on Monday 16th June. Diana Smith will be running another Healthy Evening Evening for us, talking about the latest research in healthy eating and demonstrating healthy cooking. July 2025 Meeting
Our July meeting will be a short evening walk and a meet up for a drink at a venue to be arranged. Please contacct Alison Smith for more details.
August 2025 Meeting
We are hoping to join the Codsall Cancer Group in August for a teaparty, fundraising for Breast Cancer Now.
September 2025
Our monthly meeting will take place on Monday 15th September. At this meeting we will be making final preparations for our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 26th September.
On Friday 26th September we will be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Oddfellows Hall in Stafford. All welcome.
October 2025
The speaker on Monday 20th October at the Constitutional Club will be a nurse from Lymphvision, talking about Lymphoedema.
November 2025
Our November meeting will take place on Monday 17th November at the Constitutional Club. The speaker on this evening will be Shaun Holt, a doctor from New Zealand, specialising in the science behind natural and complementary therapies.
December 2025
Our December meeting will be our Christmas meal at Stafford College, on a date to be arranged. If you would like to join us on this evening, please contact Alison Smith on 01785 660193.
